Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ 6.0/6.5.x/9.0 Agents Downloads

Description
This page provides the download information for the supported Symantec Enterprise Security Manager™ (ESM) 6.0/6.5.x/9.0 agents.
All agents are listed version-wise. Under each version, the following information is provided for each agent:

  • Operating system
  • Operating system version
  • Platform name
  • Platform
  • SU (Security Update)
  • Released
  • Location
The column named "Location" specifies where the agent can be downloaded from.

If the agent is available on the physical media of an ESM release, the Location column specifies the Disk number and the SU column specifies the default Security Update that was shipped on the physical media of that release, or the Security Update that existed when the agent was released.

If any agent has been updated or released separately, the Location column specifies the link from where the agent can be downloaded and the SU column specifies the Security Update in which the agent was updated.

Note: The ESM modules require libpam.so (32-bit) to be installed on Linux operating systems for successful execution on the AMD64 and EM64T platforms.

ESM 9.0
The Symantec ESM 9.0 release is available for download at the following File Connect Web site: https://fileconnect.symantec.com.

The Product disc of the ESM 9.0 release contains the installers to do manual/remote upgrade of ESM 9.0. Refer the Release Notes for 9.0 in the Product disc for more information.

ESM 6.5.3 SP2
The Symantec ESM 6.5.3 SP2 release is available for download at the following File Connect Web site: https://fileconnect.symantec.com.

Disks 1 through 8 of the ESM 6.5.3 SP2 release contain the installers to do manual/remote upgrade of ESM 6.5.3/6.5.3 SP1 Manager/Agent/Console to ESM 6.5.3 SP2. Refer the Release Notes for ESM 6.5.3 SP2 in Disk 1 for more information.

    Note: You can remotely upgrade only the ESM 6.5.2 Windows Vista (32-bit/64-bit) and SUSE 9 Linux Enterprise Server on IBM PPC e-Server agents to ESM 6.5.3 SP2.
Disks 9 through 11 contain the ESM 6.5.3 SP2 Rollup Installer that you can use to manually upgrade/install any ESM version 5.5 onwards to ESM 6.5.3 SP2 directly.

Use Disk 9 to manually upgrade the following agents on Windows:
  • ESM 6.5.2/6.5.3/6.5.3 SP1 agents that were installed by using the MSI installer
    Note: You cannot directly upgrade the ESM 6.5.0 agents to ESM 6.5.3 SP2 as the ESM 6.5.0 release does not support installation of agents by using the MSI installer.
  • ESM 5.5/5.5.3/6.0 agents


Use Disks 10 and 11 to install/upgrade to ESM 6.5.3 SP2 Manager and Agent on UNIX. Refer the Release Notes for the ESM 6.5.3 SP2 Rollup Installer in Disk 9 for more information.
