We see the threads of corporate responsibility as intertwined with Symantec’s corporate mission. When we track and respond to cyberattacks, when we provide clients with software to help them save energy and reduce carbon emissions in their data centers and beyond, when we promote the advancement of women in technology, when we teach parents how to keep their children safe online—all these actions speak to our commitment to larger social and environmental issues.

Support for the United Nations Global Compact and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
On March 3, 2006, Symantec signed the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). We proudly support its ten principles to promote human rights and environmental responsibility and to fight corruption, and encourage all companies to become signatories. (press release)
In this 60th anniversary year of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we invite both business and broader civil society to join Symantec in declaring their support for this important resolution.
